Last Thursday night at Box Hill, club athletes Jarrod Zuchowski (1500m 4min 26.9sec), Jared Traub (800m 2min 32.82sec ) and Davin Traub (800m 3min 01.19sec) ran very strong races.
Club women’s middle distance champion Shanie Landen was invited to compete last weekend in Hastings (New Zealand) where she proudly wore the Maccabi top and represented Israel in the main event – an Invitational 800m.
Shanie finished second in the race in a good time of 2min 09 sec.

In Shield, Maccabi is sitting in 4th position on the ladder and we will be using our PowerPlay in this week’s Shield competition to be held on the 1st February – we are asking ALL our eligible athletes to compete to maximise our points.

The majority of the club athletes will be competing at Knox where events include 100m, 400m, 1500m, long jump and javelin. You can compete at Doncaster if you wish: 200, 800, high jump, shot put and triple jump.
In the intra club AVSL competition the race is still on for 1st place in both the points and events ladders

Please enter on the AV web site before midday Wednesday 29th January.

Don’t forget to nominate for the Maccabiah Games track and field team (to be coached by David Brock), for Israel 2021.
